$ Savings Story 1
Your office printer dies. You did the right thing by backing up on 1 or 2 cartridges. The likelihood of you purchasing a printer that uses the same cartridge is slim to none. Now you have 1 or 2 cartridges that you paid for with no machine to put them in. This could be 1 or 2 inkjets at $30.00 each or 1 or 2 laser cartridges at $100.00 each. Unless you are one of the few fortunate ones whose supplier will let you return them for credit, (my experience from talking to people is “good luck with that one”) you have just flushed $30.00, $60.00, $100.00, or $200.00 down the drain. And yes, if you had purchased them from me, I would give you full credit with a smile and an apology on the death of your printer when you gave them back to me. By the way, my everyday pricing on all inkjet and laser cartridges is as good as anyone’s out there.
$ Savings Story 2
I just delivered a fireproof safe to a local residence. They paid me the same price as they would pay from another office supply dealer. The difference is that I charged them nothing for the delivery, which saved them $40 to $60.
$ Savings Story 3
Fax me a copy of your last invoice, minus your costs. Because no, I don’t want to know how much you paid for your products or who you bought them from. That’s my competitors’ trick. You show them an invoice and then they undercut the pricing by 5%. My pricing stands by itself. All I need is for you to copy the invoice, save the part with quantity, product number and description and fax it to me. I will do the work and fax back the pricing you would get from Clark Office Supply. Will I always be lower? Maybe not, but neither will they. What I will always be is reliable-fast-smart-honest-friendly-local-and yes, your best value in office products.
